Body Butter
Its come to my attention how much cheaper it is to make your own beauty products; but price isn't the only thing, the benefits are overwhelming. The reason why I've decided to venture into this little arena is the same reason I decided to cook; I want to know what's going in my body. Skin is your body's largest organ, so why wouldn't you want to put the best into it? I have also included the links to purchase the ingredients I used; but you can obviously find them based on your own preference.
- 8 oz Organic Raw Shea Butter
- 1 tbsp Temanu Oil
- 1 tbsp Jojoba Oil
- 1 tbsp Argan Oil
- 20 drops of your favourite essential oils *
* If you use Temanu oil, the smell is very potent. I put in about 20-30 drops of essential oils and they did nothing to mask the smell. If you still want to add essential oils to a Temanu body butter blend, you will only be using them for their benefit and not the smell. Otherwise, don't add Temanu oil.

Instructions
1. Add all ingredients to a glass, heat proof bowl (or double boiler) and place into a pot of lightly boiling water. You want the water to be high enough to provide heat all around the bowl, but not high enough to boil over.
2. Stir oils together as they melt. When completely melted, remove from heat and place into a freezer, checking every 5-10 minutes.
3. Once the liquids have MOSTLY solidified, take the oil out of the freezer and whip with a hand mixer.
4. Scoop the body butter into your favourite mason jar or container, or lather yourself in it right then and there!
